Explore Every 7/8-inch TC Grade in Dedeco's Dual Disc Profile
Dedeco Sunburst 7/8″ TC Dual radial bristle discs provide a more substantial working face for cleaning, deburring, blending and finishing small components, contours and detailed surfaces.
This 43-piece assortment contains six Dual discs in each of the seven available grades, together with one mandrel with a 2.35mm (3/32″) shank. It provides enough of every grade to compare cutting action, establish a finishing sequence and continue working with the most suitable options.
Dual describes Dedeco’s wider disc construction rather than the number of discs supplied or fitted. Each disc is 3.2mm (1/8″) thick and combines a defined working width with flexible, curved TC bristles—equivalent to Type C terminology—for controlled contact around curves, edges and irregular geometries.
Need to replenish a particular grade? Individual 7/8″ TC Dual discs are available separately.

Compare Every Grade
Trial the complete progression from coarse 80 grit through to ultra-fine 1 micron to identify a suitable starting point and finishing sequence.
Faster-Cutting Dual Profile
The wider Dual construction provides a more supported working face for cleaning, deburring and surface preparation while retaining the conformability of curved TC bristles.
Six Discs per Grade
Useful quantities of every grade support initial comparison, process development and continued work after the preferred sequence has been established.
Dual or Standard-Profile Loose Disc Assortment?
Choose the Dual assortment for a wider, more supported disc profile and a more assertive cutting action when cleaning, deburring and preparing surfaces.
Choose the 86-piece standard-profile assortment for thinner, more conformable discs that can be used individually or combined in matching stacks. It also provides 12 discs per grade and both 2.35mm and 3.18mm shank mandrels.
Typical Applications
- Comparing the complete Dual disc grade range
- Removing oxidation, light surface contamination and suitable coatings
- Cleaning and refining cast jewellery and precision components
- Controlled deburring around edges, profiles and machined features
- Blending surface marks and transitions between worked areas
- Preparing surfaces for subsequent finishing operations
- Finishing contours, detailed surfaces and irregular geometries
- Progressing from initial cleaning through to fine polishing
Suitable Materials
These discs can be used across suitable precious and non-ferrous metals, steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminium, brass and bronze. They are also suitable for selected wood, acrylic, plastic and ceramic applications.
Always test the selected grade on an inconspicuous area first, particularly on softer, coated or heat-sensitive materials.
Assortment Contents & Grades
What's Included
- 42 Dual radial discs: Six discs in each of seven colour-coded grades
- One screw-top mandrel: For fitting the included 1.6mm centre-hole discs
- Mandrel shank: 2.35mm (3/32″) for compatible handpieces, micromotors, flexible shaft machines and rotary tools

Grade Selection
The assortment contains six Dual radial discs in each of the following seven grades. Every disc has the same defined 3.2mm (1/8″) working width, allowing cutting action and finish to be compared without changing the disc configuration.
Begin with the finest grade capable of producing the required result.

Using the Dual Disc Profile
Each Dual disc provides a defined 3.2mm working width without requiring a stack of separate standard-profile discs.
- Fit one Dual disc securely to the supplied mandrel
- Install the disc in its marked direction of rotation
- Ensure that the screw-top mandrel remains fully engaged
- Change the complete disc when moving between grades
Achieving a Consistent Finish
The abrasive is distributed throughout the moulded polymer bristles, allowing the cutting action to remain available as the bristles wear.
- Use the bristle tips with light and controlled pressure
- Begin with the finest grade capable of producing the required result
- Keep the tool moving to promote even wear
- Clean the workpiece between grades to limit cross-contamination
Operating & Safety Guidance
- Recommended operating range: 3,000–18,000 RPM
- Woodworking reference speed: Approximately 5,000 RPM
- Never exceed the lowest maximum speed stated for the disc, mandrel or machine
- Confirm that the 2.35mm mandrel shank matches the machine or collet
- Install the disc so the tail of each curved bristle follows the direction of rotation
- Use the bristle tips with light pressure rather than forcing the disc into the workpiece
- Keep the tool moving to control localised heat and uneven wear
- Check that the screw-top mandrel is secure before starting the machine
- Use suitable machine guarding and appropriate personal protective equipment
