Abrasive Spirabands
Abrasive spirabands are abrasive coated rings that fit over a rubber mandrel for grinding metal. The spiraband holders are sold separately.
The spiraband and the holder both need to be the same size.
Resin Bond Aluminium Oxide Cloth in bands for use with a mandrel. Spiral wound with interlinking cloth, as a result, they offer perfectly smooth running. A cheaper alternative to flap wheels due to the mandrels and belts being separate.
Our customers mainly use spirabands for curved surfaces and inside bores. We find they are liked for their flexibility due to the fact that the rubber mandrel has a little give in it.
Holders are on a 6mm shank, therefore, they are ideal for use with larger tools such as air tools, flex shafts, drills etc.
Abrasive spirabands can be used for aluminium and steels, thus we find them to be popular with large mould tool polishers, precision engineers, polishers, fabricators.
