Choose the Right RODA Abrasive Nylon Format
RODA Abrasive Nylon tools are available in several formats so you can choose the right option for the surface, access, finish requirement and working method. The range includes manual hand pads and roll, a 5 inch Variety Pack for grade testing, compact mounted wheels and small buffing balls, larger abrasive nylon mops and buffing balls, and long-reach bore-finishing tools.
The best product depends on whether you are finishing by hand, using a rotary tool, working on larger surfaces, or trying to reach inside bores, ports, tubes and internal features.
Manual Finishing
Choose RODA Abrasive Nylon Hand Pads for ready-to-use manual cleaning, blending, scuffing and satin finishing. Choose RODA Abrasive Nylon Roll when you want the most economical cut-to-size format.

What Is RODA Abrasive Nylon Used For?
RODA Abrasive Nylon is used for controlled cleaning, blending, deburring, smoothing, satin finishing and surface preparation. The non-woven nylon structure carries abrasive through the material, making it useful for dry finishing without needing polishing compound.
Common uses include blending machine marks, removing light burrs, cleaning fabrication marks, scuffing surfaces before coating or bonding, applying satin or brushed finishes, and touching up areas after machining, welding, fabrication or polishing work.
- Manual surface cleaning and preparation
- Blending machine lines, light scratches and fabrication marks
- Light deburring and edge softening
- Creating satin, brushed or blended finishes
- Scuffing before coating, painting, bonding or further finishing
- Grade testing and finishing progression development by hand
- Internal bore, hole and port finishing with suitable RODA Bore tools
- Touch-up work after powered abrasive nylon finishing
- General workshop, fabrication, polishing and maintenance tasks
Important:
Abrasive nylon is still an abrasive process.
Always test on a representative area first, especially where surface finish, tolerance, coating adhesion or appearance is important.
Choosing the Right Abrasive Nylon Grade
The RODA Abrasive Nylon range is available in multiple grades, from ultra-fine finishing through to heavier cleaning, blending and surface preparation. Choose the grade according to the material, level of cut, cleaning action and finish required.
Finer grades are better suited to light cleaning, soft satin finishing and final surface refinement. Coarser grades are used where a stronger abrasive action is needed for heavier cleaning, blending or surface preparation.

Need Help Choosing?
Choose by format first: hand pads or roll for manual finishing, the 5" Variety Pack for grade testing, NyWheels for compact powered work, NyMops or Large Buffing Balls for larger powered contact, and RODA Bore for long-reach internal finishing.
