Compare Six 2-inch TC Grades in a Consistent 3-Ply Format
The Dedeco Sunburst 2″ TC 3-ply radial disc assortment provides one pre-assembled wheel in each of six grades, covering coarse cleaning and surface preparation through to fine polishing.
Each wheel combines three matching radial disc layers into a 1/8″ (3.2mm) working face. This provides greater support and surface coverage than a single loose disc while retaining the flexibility needed to follow contours, edges and irregular surfaces.
The curved TC bristles—equivalent to Type C terminology—contain aluminium oxide abrasive throughout their moulded polymer construction. This maintains the cutting action as the bristles wear without requiring a separate polishing compound.
Need a specific grade or a different working width?
Loose 2″ TC radial discs are available individually and can be assembled in matching layers using the appropriate mounting system.
Why Choose the 3-Ply Assortment?
Compare Six Grades
Trial six grades from coarse 80 grit through to ultra-fine 1 micron to identify an effective starting point and finishing sequence.
Consistent 3-Ply Format
Every grade is supplied in the same pre-assembled three-layer format, supporting meaningful comparisons of cutting action and resulting finish.
Controlled Medium-Format Finishing
The 2″ diameter balances access and visibility with greater surface coverage than small radial discs intended for precision handpieces.
3-Ply Assemblies or Loose Discs?
Choose this 3-ply assortment when you want six consistently assembled wheels for comparing grades and developing a repeatable cleaning-to-polishing process.
Choose loose 2″ TC radial discs when you already know the required grade or want to configure a different working width by changing the number of matching discs used.
View Loose 2-inch TC Radial DiscsTypical Applications
- Comparing abrasive grades using a consistent 3-ply working width
- Developing repeatable cleaning, deburring and finishing sequences
- Removing rust, oxidation, tarnish and surface contamination
- Cleaning suitable coatings, adhesive residue and discolouration
- Light deburring around edges, profiles and machined features
- Blending scratches, machining marks and surface transitions
- Refining cast, fabricated and machined components
- Generating or refining decorative grain patterns
- Progressing from initial surface preparation through to fine polishing
Suitable Materials
These wheels are suitable for finishing aluminium, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, precious metals and other appropriate metals. They may also be used for selected wood, acrylic and plastic applications.
Always test the selected grade on an inconspicuous area first, particularly on softer, coated or heat-sensitive materials.

Recommended Tapered Mandrels
All four Moleroda tapered mandrels with a 6mm shank can safely be used with these 2″ radial wheel assemblies.
- PB39: Primary regular-length recommendation for the 2″ wheel format
- PB38: Primary extended recommendation where additional reach is required
- MM17 and MM32: Heavy-duty tapered mandrels that are also compatible
- Confirm that the tool’s chuck or collet accepts the 6mm mandrel shank
- Wind the wheel fully and securely onto the taper before starting the machine
Bench-Lathe Use
The compact 2″ wheels are well suited to small variable-speed polishing lathes such as the Foredom M.BL. The M.BL operates from 500–7,000 RPM, so use these wheels within the overlapping 3,000–7,000 RPM range and mount them on the appropriate tapered spindle.
- Use the appropriate tapered spindle or compatible chuck-mounted taper
- Confirm the correct spindle hand and direction of rotation
- Ensure the wheel tightens onto the taper during operation
- Use suitable guarding and extraction for the application
Operating & Safety Guidance
- Recommended operating range: 3,000–18,000 RPM
- Woodworking reference speed: Approximately 5,000 RPM
- Maximum wheel speed: 30,000 RPM
- Never exceed the lowest maximum speed stated for the wheel, mandrel, spindle or machine
- Confirm that the wheel is fully wound onto the taper and runs true before use
- Install the wheel so the curved bristles follow the correct direction of rotation
- Start at a lower speed and increase only where greater cutting action is required
- Use the bristle tips with light pressure rather than forcing the wheel into the workpiece
- Keep the wheel moving to control localised heat and uneven wear
- Inspect the wheel and mounting system before every use
- Use suitable machine guarding, extraction and appropriate personal protective equipment
