The Rosler Overhead Rail Hanger Shot Blaster
What is an Overhead Rail Hanger Shot Blaster?
An overhead rail hanger shot blaster is a type of shot blasting machine used for surface preparation of large and heavy objects such as steel structures, bridges, and ship hulls. The machine consists of an overhead rail system and a blast chamber containing a turbine wheel or blast wheel assembly that propels abrasive particles at high velocity onto the surface of the object being treated.
The overhead rail system typically consists of a motorized trolley or carrier that travels along a track mounted on the ceiling of the blast chamber. The object to be treated is suspended from the trolley by chains or cables, allowing it to be moved through the blast chamber while being exposed to the abrasive stream.
The blast chamber is designed to contain the abrasive particles and prevent them from escaping into the environment. It may also include a dust collection system to capture the dust and debris generated during the blasting process.
Overhead rail hanger shot blasters are often used in industrial settings where large and heavy objects need to be prepared for painting or coating. The high velocity abrasive stream removes rust, scale, and other contaminants from the surface of the object, leaving a clean and roughened surface that enhances adhesion of the coating material.
