Variations & Attributes
AV25 - Mini Bench-Top Vibro Rumbler (5L)
Compact 5-litre vibratory finishing bowl ideal for polishing and deburring very small components or short production runs. Best for jewellers, small workshops, and hobbyists seeking a low-cost entry into automated finishing.
Note: Smaller capacity and less power means longer process times compared to larger models.
AV40 - Small Vibro Finishing Bowl (9L)
One of Moleroda’s most popular bench-top vibratory finishing bowls. This 9-litre machine is perfect for one-off parts and low-batch CNC components. With the right media selection (ceramic, plastic, or polishing), a range of finishes can be achieved quickly and easily. The ideal balance between size, power and efficiency.
AV75 DC - Large Vibro Finishing Bowl (23L)
The largest in the AV Series range, this 23-litre machine is ideal for batch deburring and polishing of metal or plastic parts. Its larger bowl and powerful motor make it ideal for medium-sized components or moderate batch sizes in busy workshops. This vibro bowl provides the quickest processing times.

Usage and Advice
Vibratory Bowl Mass Finishing Systems use specially selected media—such as ceramic, plastic, or polishing compounds—to efficiently deburr, polish, clean, and surface-finish large quantities of small to medium-sized parts simultaneously.
Parts are placed in the vibrating bowl along with the media, which creates friction and gentle impact to remove burrs, smooth edges, and impart a consistent finish.
By choosing the appropriate media type, size, and shape, these systems can achieve a range of surface textures, from heavy deburring to fine polishing.
Vibratory liquid compounds can be used to extended the life of media and provide corrosion protection, making the process more economical.
At Moleroda we offer media in small quantities (per 5kg) which are perfect for these smaller systems and topping up media levels – Read why it’s important to keep media levels topped up.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)
What is a bench-top vibro finishing bowl?
A bench-top vibro finishing bowl is a compact vibratory machine designed to polish, deburr, and clean small metal or plastic components automatically. The AV Series comes in 5L, 9L, and 23L capacities to suit different batch sizes.
What materials can I process in the AV Series machines?
The AV Series can handle metals (aluminium, steel, brass, etc.), plastics, and even delicate components. Choosing the right media—ceramic, plastic, or polishing compounds—allows you to achieve a wide range of finishes.
How do I choose between AV25, AV40, and AV75 DC?
-
AV25 (5L): Best for very small parts or one-off components.
-
AV40 (9L): Ideal for low-batch CNC or prototype parts.
-
AV75 DC (23L): Suitable for medium-sized components and moderate batch sizes.
Consider your batch size, part dimensions, and desired process time when selecting a model.
Are the machines noisy?
These machines include sound-reducing lids to minimize noise. Actual noise levels vary depending on the media and type of process, but all AV Series have a max level of 82 dB.
Can I see a demonstration or have my parts processed?
Yes! Moleroda offers live demonstrations and free sample processing. Send us your components or book a showroom visit to find the best AV model and media for your application.
What are the running costs of the AV Series machines?
Running costs are very low. The machines are energy-efficient and require minimal maintenance. Using the correct media and compound ensures long-term, consistent performance without frequent replacement.
Can these machines replace hand finishing entirely?
For many small parts and batches, the AV Series can automate labour-intensive finishing tasks, significantly reducing manual work. However, for very delicate or complex finishing, manual touch-ups may still be needed.
