Vitrified Mounted Points
Pink abrasive points are a very popular grinding points used for precision grinding and deburring. Vitrified Mounted Points are popular on all metals but mostly used for harder steels etc. They are commonly found in foundry and precision engineering workshops for deburring and cleaning up castings and machined components.
Mounted points are used for:
Deburring, cutting, grinding, blending welds, cleaning, chamfering, edge braking etc. they are used in many industry’s which require precision metal components.
Moleroda supply Vitrified mounted points in a range of B-Shape these include – ball shape (great for hole deburring), points or cones or pointed trees – excellent for tight edges or holes, Trapeze – excellent for deburring on back-edges etc.
Grades of Mounted points:
All our points are vitrified points – made with Corundum and Aluminium oxide grit. we offer Three different grades but other grades of points are available.
Pink – The most popular grade – Aluminium oxide with low medium chromium oxide content. Hard stone which retains its shape and leaves a fine surface finish. Best on steel and cast steel. Works well on cast iron, hardened and tempered steels, welding seams on alloyed steels and tool steels.
Ruby – Aluminium oxide with high chromium oxide content. Coarser grit which can break down rapidly. Excellent for cutting and removing metal material. Best on steel and cast steel. Works well on cast iron, hardened and tempered steels, welding seams on alloyed steels and tool steels.
Mounted points are Supplied with:
Per pack of 10 points all points are on a 3mm spindle
Other Products Similar to Pink Vitrified points:
Rubber points are much softer but give a better finish.
MX points are a cotton bonded product which grind well but leave a much better finish
Carbide burrs – more affective at cutting material and cleanly removing heavy burrs.
