Dedeco Sunburst 1″ TC radial bristle discs provide the largest standard screw-mounted format in the compact Sunburst range, combining broader surface contact with access to ultra-coarse grades for more demanding cleaning, deburring and surface-preparation work.
This assortment contains useful quantities across the complete eight-grade range, making it easier to compare cutting actions, develop a finishing sequence and retain the selected grades for further work.
Use a single disc for narrow, flexible contact or combine matching discs to create a broader and more supported working face. The curved TC—equivalent to Type C—bristles remain conformable around contours, edges and irregular surfaces.

Always test the selected grade on an inconspicuous area first, particularly on softer, coated or heat-sensitive materials.

Fit the Included Mandrels
The kit includes two matching screw-top mandrels:
- Shank: 1/8″ (3.18mm)
- Arbor: 1/8″ (3.18mm)
- Disc centre hole: 1/8″ (3.18mm)
Use a compatible rotary tool, chuck or collet that accepts the mandrel shank.
Adjust the Working Width
Use one loose disc for the narrowest contact or combine matching discs to increase the working width and provide a more supported finishing action.
- Only stack discs of the same diameter, profile and grade
- Align every disc in the same direction of rotation
- Ensure the mandrel screw remains fully and securely engaged
- Do not mix different grades within the same working stack
Operating & Safety Guidance
- Recommended operating range: 3,000–18,000 RPM
- Woodworking reference speed: Approximately 5,000 RPM
- Never exceed the lowest maximum speed stated for the disc, mandrel or machine
- Use a compatible chuck or collet for the 1/8″ (3.18mm) mandrel shank
- Install every disc so the tail of each curved bristle follows the direction of rotation
- Use the bristle tips with light pressure rather than forcing the discs into the workpiece
- Keep the tool moving to control localised heat and uneven wear
- Check that the screw-top mandrel is secure before starting the machine
- Use suitable machine guarding and appropriate personal protective equipment
