75mm Scotch-Brite Habras Discs for Broad Surface Refinement
The 75mm 3M Scotch-Brite radial bristle disc — also commonly known as a Habras disc — is designed for medium industrial finishing where broader surface coverage and consistent satin refinement are required.
Compared with 50mm Scotch-Brite discs, the 75mm format covers more area per pass and is better suited to larger fabricated components, castings, broad contours and visible surfaces where finish consistency matters.
The flexible abrasive-filled bristles conform to shaped and irregular surfaces, helping remove oxidation, blend surface marks and produce a controlled satin finish without the harsh scratch pattern or gouging risk associated with wire brushes and more aggressive abrasive systems.

Stock note:
80, 120, 220, 400 grit, 6 micron, and 1 micron grades are normally held in stock.

Mounting & Compatibility
These 75mm Scotch-Brite / Habras discs are supplied as loose radial bristle discs with an approx. 9.5mm centre hole. They must be clamped securely using a compatible medium radial disc mounting system.

Important:
These loose 75mm discs are not designed for MM503, MM304 or Snap-On mandrels.
They also mount differently to pre-assembled radial disc units, which include their own centre hub.

Operating Guidelines
Setup
- Stack multiple loose discs together to create a wider, more stable abrasive face
- Clamp discs securely between the mandrel or adapter washers before use
- Ensure the bristle direction follows the rotation of the tool
- Always follow the maximum RPM marked on the disc and the limitations of the machine, mandrel or adapter being used
Technique
- Use light to moderate pressure
- Allow the abrasive-filled bristles to perform the cutting action
- Progress through grades sequentially for the most consistent finish
- Reduce speed and pressure when working on heat-sensitive materials or delicate surfaces
