These wheels are very popular for deburring and cleaning, metals and wood.
What are Abrasive nylon filament wheels?
They are a type of abrasive tool used for surface preparation. They consist of a series of nylon filaments impregnated with abrasive particles, such as silicon carbide or aluminum oxide. These are then embedded in the nylon matrix.
The nylon filaments are flexible and resilient. This means they can conform to irregular shapes and contours. However, the embedded abrasive particles provide cutting action to remove burrs, sharp edges, and other imperfections.
These wheels come in a variety of shapes and sizes. They can be used on a range of materials, including metal, plastic, and composites.
They are commonly used in applications such as:
- surface preparation for painting
- cleaning and finishing of moulds
- and deburring of machined parts.
