What is a cratex wheel?
They are a type of abrasive polishing wheel made from silicon carbide. They are often used for deburring, smoothing, and polishing metal, plastic, and other materials.
Made by compressing layers of non-woven cotton fiber and silicon carbide abrasive grains, which are then bonded together with a special adhesive. The resulting wheel is dense and durable, with a flexible structure that allows it to conform to irregular shapes and contours.
Cratex wheels are available in a range of grit sizes, from coarse to fine. They allow users to achieve the desired level of surface finish. They come in different diameters and thicknesses to fit various types of rotary tools.
Cratex wheels are popular among jewelers, metalworkers, machinists, and other professionals.
