How to use our Plastic and Resin Polishing Kit:
- Start by using a RODA Felt Bob, Cone or Wheel with Cutting Compound to smooth the surface before polishing to a high-gloss.
- Mount your clean felt into a suitable rotary tool. Load the felt with compound by spinning against the compound bar – the bar will melt and coat the felt. Work the loaded felt evenly over the surface and make sure to keep moving and avoid dwelling to prevent over heating and “flats” forming.
- Once you’re satisfied with the smoothness of the surface, move onto using Soft RODA Felt Wheels and Calico Mops with Polishing Compound to achieve your bright shine.
- Mount a clean felt or mop into your rotary tool. Load the tool with compound and work evenly across the surface once more.
- We suggest using Vienna Lime or Solvent Cleaner to remove any residual polishing haze between stages and at the end of the process. (Available in our online store)
