Lea Midas Cut and Colour Compound
Lea Midas is a yellow cut and colour bar from APH Industries for non-ferrous metals. It suits long, smooth surfaces such as tube, sheet and flat profiles.
APH Industries recommends Midas for cut and colour on brass, and as a single-stage bar for low-rake polishing of aluminium on a ventilated mop. Low rake means the part is presented at a shallow angle to the mop.

How to Use Midas
- Prepare the surface: remove deep scratches with a cutting compound first.
- Fit the mop: use a ventilated mop on aluminium, or a stitched cotton mop on brass.
- Load the mop: apply the bar briefly to the running mop, little and often.
- Polish: keep the part at a shallow angle to the mop and work along long surfaces with even pressure.
- Finish if needed: for a higher shine, follow with a finishing compound on a separate mop.
