Dry Sisal Cutting & Polishing Mops, part of the RODA range. Coarse cutting mop for scratch removal pre-polishing. Popular among a range of industries, such as precision engineering and fabrication.
These mops are a fast way to clean up metal – they are excellent for rust removal, general cleaning, weld blending and restoring a matt shine to stainless steel and aluminium.

RODA Dry Sisal Mops recommended use with:
These mops can be used on all metal types.
- Commonly used on hard metals like steel, stainless steel & iron, however can also be used on softer metals like aluminium.
- Ideal for use on Bench grinder/polisher, Flexible shaft machine or Hand drill/grinder. – You can see our full range of machines here.
- Use with a taper cone or pigtail.
- Use with a coarse cutting soap or polishing compound. – Such as Abracut for Stainless Steel and Apollo for Aluminium or alloy metals.
- We would recommend a mop dresser to anyone using polishing mops. It helps to stop a build up of compound on the mop.
What Size Polishing Mop should I use:
3″ and 4″ Polishing mops – Use in an angle grinder with a tapered mandrel to hold it. They can also be used on a bench polisher for slower speed polishing
6″ and 8″ Polishing Mops – These are most popular mops. Use with a 6″ bench polisher or an 8″ polisher.
10″ and 12″ Polishing Mops – These larger mops are excellent when you are working on larger surface areas. A heavy duty machine would be required we sell Cannings machines and also a 1.5 HP polisher.
