Automatic polishing & deburring systems .. how do they work?
Rumbling, tumbling and vibratory bowl systems are used in many industries for batch finishing. The ability to finish multiple parts all to an identical finish is almost unique to this type of process. The beauty of this system is the diversity of the finishes achieved. Depending on the media selected these vibro machines can be used for deburring using ceramic media. Or textured finish either matt or a polished shiny finish can be achieved easily with plastic media or polishing media. Steel shot can also be used for burnishing. These system can be as automated as required. Sturdy and easy to operate, Rösler provides vibratory installations for a wide range of applications. A wide variety of part shapes and sizes can be finished to any kind of surface requirements.
Applications for vibratory bowl systems:
- Jewellery industry, polishing gold and silver rings or pewter bangles etc.
- Car and bike gears for smoother running engines
- Small plastic parts – for polishing or de-flashing
- Cleaning coins, medals and other small metal antiques
- Washers and plumbing supplies
- Gun cases, cartridges cases
- Small stainless steel fittings
- Machined aluminium and steel engineered components
- Small bronzes, sculpture or models works
Rösler rotary vibrators can be adapted to automated processing at any time with modular auxiliary systems for loading, unloading, rinsing, drying and other “pre-” and “post-finish” operations.
A machine, proven in over a thousand applications. Bowl geometry allows fast grinding to fine finishing to be performed, combined with the best of surface finishing.
The machines are equipped with integral separation, and the medium ascent of the bowl allows the treatment of delicate and small to medium sized components.
- Long life, hot cast PU lining
- Stress free processing bowlsRosler standard 2 speed motors
- Easy separation
- For all standard deburring and polishing processes

How Automated?
Semi automated or fully automated system Rosler has it all. Depending on your application Rosler can offer a full automated system using separation screens or magnetic drums for separation of parts from media. Rolser then can offer secondary processes such as dryers or connecting multiple machines to minimise manual handling of the parts and to increate efficiently of the process. Double or Triple batch system so allow constant use.
Heavy Duty Rotary Vibrators made by Rosler Germany
Special machines for maximum work rate, also suitable for ball burnishing and pressure deburring. The full size ascent increases media pressure and guarantees a safe, fast process for small to medium size components. This range of machines is also suitable for processing flat components which tend to stick together. The integral separation system, together with the full size ascent guarantees short separation cycles, even with difficult components
- Air-operated, automatic unloading
- Special design for ball burnishing processes
- 100% separation of difficult component
Keramo process also require special machines with extra drains and specially designed control panels to allow a fully automated system with controlled timing systems for compound and water control.
Bespoke machines
Rosler also offers long radius machines or constant feed machines. Collision of parts in machines can sometimes be an issue in standard vibro equipment – Rosler have several special machines which are created for parts where no contact is acceptable. Traditionally just metals are vibro finished however Stone, wood and plastic and rubber are also commonly finished in these machines.
