Polishing & Finishing Solid Surface Worktops with Micro-Mesh

Solid surface worktops, such as Corian®, are prized for their durability, non-porous nature, and elegant appearance. Whether in kitchens, bathrooms, or custom installations, achieving a flawless finish is essential. Micro-Mesh abrasives offer a professional, versatile solution for polishing and maintaining these surfaces.

Corian® was created by DuPont in 1967 and inspired a wide range of similar materials. Solid surface worktops share common qualities:

  • Stain Resistant

  • Thermoformable (flexible when heated)

  • Non-Porous (does not absorb liquid)

  • Non-Toxic

All solid surface materials benefit from precise finishing to maintain a uniform, high-quality look, whether after installation, repair, or ongoing maintenance.

Micro-Mesh abrasives are ideal for finishing solid surfaces because of their cushioned design and consistent cutting action:

  • Can be used wet or dry.

  • Safe with any sander or vacuum.

  • Generates minimal heat, preventing burns or warping.

  • Produces a consistent, swirl-free finish.

  • Reusable and long-lasting.

  • Allows finishes from matte to high gloss.
