RODA Polishing WDR Mops recommended use with:
These mops are effective on all types of metal.
- Ideal for use on Bench grinder/polisher, Flexible shaft machine or Hand drill/grinder. – You can see our full range of machines here.
- Use with a taper cone or pigtail.
- For precious metals, gold and silver – Rouge is a very popular fine polishing compound.Use with polishing compound depending on your surface. – View all our available compounds.
- For Aluminium and harder metals such as stainless steel – Use a white polishing compound to create a mirror finish.
- These polishing mops are used once pre-polishing preparation is complete. It is important to get this stage right as it directly impacts the resulting final finish. See Dry Sisal mops and White stitched mops to see how to prepare the surface.
- We would recommend a mop dresser to anyone using polishing mops. It helps to stop a build up of compound on the mop.
What Size Polishing Mop should I use:
3″ and 4″ Polishing mops – Use in an angle grinder with a tapered mandrel to hold it. They can also be used on a bench polisher for slower speed polishing
6″ and 8″ Polishing Mops – These are most popular mops. Use with a 6″ bench polisher or an 8″ polisher.
10″ and 12″ Polishing Mops – These larger mops are excellent when you are working on larger surface areas. A heavy duty machine would be required we sell Cannings machines and also a 1.5 HP polisher.
